I had a mix of experiences at this hotel. The rooms were quiet and comfortable, but the damp smell from adjacent laundry rooms and nighttime noise were drawbacks. The location was very convenient for accessing transportation and amenities, but the dining options lacked consistency. Overall, a decent stay with some ups and downs.

Waking up and watching the boats going out to sea from my large room with a great view of the harbor was a fantastic experience. The room was very comfortable, but it could get a little noisy during weekends or peak season. The location was ideal for exploring Kirkwall and the Orkneys, being right in the center of town and overlooking the harbor, plus being conveniently close to the ferry terminal for island hopping.

Staying at the hotel was a great experience overall. The rooms were spotless and excellent in size with a big comfortable double bed, providing a spacious, well-equipped place with a view of the harbour. The service was top-notch with efficient room service and laundry options. The location was lovely, with very helpful and friendly staff, although it felt a bit crammed underneath the window. The dining options were varied, from simple tea and toast to a full Scottish breakfast, but there were some disappointments in terms of pricing. The facilities were excellent, offering everything one would need during their stay.
